Fury, G.M. Ford, Avon, $6.99.
Though I suppose this is technically a Leo Waterman novel, Leo actually appears in only a few pages of this wonderful, hard to put down thrill ride from master G.M. Ford. Taking a sort of typical dilemma - man on death row unjustly accused - Ford manages to infuse this book with all sorts of original touches (you may never feel the same about tattoos) that set it apart. There's also a really fine sense of location as Ford continues to use his native Seattle to great advantage.
If you enjoy G.M Ford, you may also enjoy Earl Emerson.
