Michigan Mysteries
Blue Wolf in Green Fire, Joseph Heywood, Lyons Press, $22.95.
Conservation Officer Grady Service returns to investigate a series of bombs apparently planted by animal rights activists -
culminating in a double murder at a wolf lab. The FBI takes over the investigation while certain anomalies nag at Grady,
who meanwhile must investigate a poaching ring setting their sights on wolves. Heywood's writing is that of a poet, and
the feeling of the Upper Peninsula is beautifully conveyed by a writer who has an obvious love for it.
